DECATUR, Ga. (October 13, 2018) – After picking up a solid victory at Rutgers, the Howard University Men's Soccer team was unable to keep the momentum going as they came up short at Georgia State (GSU), 1-0.
Despite outshooting the Eagles, HU (2-6-3) could not find the back of the net. Senior
Victor Guirma (New Paltz, N.Y.) led the charge with a match-best seven attempts.
With time dwindling before intermission, GSU's Dylan Morris delivered the eventual winning goal, thanks to an assist from Max Hemmings.
Defensively, junior
Carlos Caro (Silver Spring, Md.) registered four saves in a losing effort.
On Oct. 20, coach
Phillip Gyau and the Bison return home where they host reigning Sun Belt Champions Coastal Carolina on Senior Day. Match time is set for 5 p.m. at Greene Stadium.
