WASHINGTON (October 12, 2018) – Senior
KaSandra Kaplan (Detroit) and sophomore
Christian Nickolas (Brentwood, Calif.) guided the Howard University Swim team to a second-place finish at American University.
HU defeated Manhattan, 121-109, but fell to the Eagles, 181-64.
Kaplan won the women's 200-yard free (1:56.97) while taking second in the 100 butterfly (58.86).
In the 1-meter dive, Nickolas came in first with a 226.75 score, and then followed with a second-place finish in the 3-meter (216.75).
Newcomer
India Jackson (Philadelphia, Pa.) also had a solid day in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.59), placing second overall.
