NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Howard Men's Soccer team was unable to get on the board as the Yale Bulldogs blanked HU, 3-0, at Reese Stadium.
Yale outshot the Bison, 17-4, while tallying all three goals within a 15-minute timeframe in the first half.
Brandon Hood recorded three shot attempts while
Andres Gomez registered a shot as well.
More than 20 minutes into the match, Ryan Matteo scored his first goal of the year after being assisted by Aldo Quevedo and Josh Totte.
Less than 10 minutes later, John Leisman increased the Bulldogs' advantage, 2-0.
At the 35:05 mark, Quevedo put the contest out-of-reach with his first goal of the season, 3-0.
Defensively,
Carlos Caro had a team-best four saves in the loss.
On Sept. 6, Howard hosts St. Francis- Brooklyn in their home opener. Match-time is set for 7 p.m. at Greene Stadium.
