WASHINGTON (September 6, 2017) – Howard Men's Soccer team came up short in their home opener against St. Francis Brooklyn (SFU), 1-0, at Greene Stadium.
With less than 10 minutes remaining, the Terriers' Dom Falanga dished off to Dennis Coke for the game's lone goal.
Overall, HU took 11 shots with
Andres Gomez taking seven himself.
Defensively,
Carlos Caro tied a match-high four saves in the loss.
For St. Francis Brooklyn (4-1), they recorded 15 shots. Federico Curbelo had a team-best four shots; however, Coke came away with the go-ahead goal in the win.
On Sept. 9, HU (0-4) goes to the Tar Heel State to meet Campbell. Match-time is set for 4 p.m.
