HU took twice as many shots, 18-9, while taking a 13-1 advantage in corner kicks.
After a scoreless first half, newcomer
Aleeya Sawyer scored the match's first goal at the 74-minute mark on a rebound, 1-0.
With less than three minutes remaining,
Kela Gray assisted Sawyer with the insurance goal, 2-0.
Defensively,
Gabrielle Emilien played over 70 minutes and allowed no goals. The Toronto native stopped five goals in the victory.
