WASHINGTON (October 13, 2017) – Coach Nicholas Askew and the Howard University Women's Swimming & Diving team dropped its home opener against crosstown rival American University, 184-57, at Burr Pool.
 
Marina Markous earned the team's Golden Goggles, HU's most outstanding female performer of the meet. Markous won the women 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:31.20 time.
 
Saturday's action versus the Chowan University (CU) Hawks and George Washington (GW) Colonials begins at 1 p.m.
