COLLEGE PARK, MD --- The Howard women's volleyball team finished the two-day District of Columbia Classic on Sunday with a pair of games at the University of Maryland's XFINITY Pavillion.
The Bison lost its matches to George Mason University (in four sets) and the University of Pennsylvania (in three sets), giving Howard an overall record of 1-7.
FAST FACTS - HOWARD VS MASON (L, 18-25, 25-20, 13-25, 18-25)- Sophomore outside hitter Khaila Donaldson notched a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs - her third of the season.
- Junior setter Briana Jackson led the Bison with 32 assists, matching her total from Saturday's game vs Maryland.
- Set two was a season high point for Howard from a hitting perspective. The Bison hit a blistering .667 (15 kills, 1 error, 21 attacks), easily its best set of the season.
- Howard was able to top Mason in total digs (40-31), with Donaldson leading with 11.
- Four other players registered at least five kills - junior outside hitter Dominique Cleggett (8), sophomore outside hitter Jasmine Sasser (8), freshman outside hitter Courtney Dalton (5) and freshman middle blocker Olubunmi Okunade (5).

- Junior libero Morgan Marlbrough tied the match-high of 10 digs. Marlbrough has logged 10 or more digs in six of eight matches this season.
- Cleggett and Donaldson each converted on eight attacks while Sasser had seven.
- Down one set and trailing 21-17 in the second, Howard managed to tie the set at 24-24 and kept the match even through 28-28 but were unable to complete the comeback.
- Dalton and Okunade each had three total blocks - all assists.
