WASHINGTON, DC --- The Howard women's lacrosse team suffered a 21-1 defeat to the two-time reigning Atlantic Sun Conference (A-Sun) champion Jacksonville University Dolphins on Sunday afternoon at Greene Stadium.

Taylor Gainey scored the lone goal for Howard (0-4, 0-2 A-Sun) with 8:15 remaining in the contest. The tally was Gainey's third of the year.
The 20 goal margin of defeat to Jacksonville (9-2, 2-0 A-Sun) matched Howard's second-highest deficit in program history, only surpassed by a 22-0 loss to Vermont last season.
NEXT UP: Howard will hit the road for the first of three road conference games. The Lady Bison will face Kennesaw State on Thursday, April 2 at 6 p.m.
