WASHINGTON, DC --- The Howard men's soccer team suffered another defeat, falling at home to the New Jersey Institute of Technology Highlanders on Saturday afternoon at Greene Stadium.
The Sun Belt Conference matchup between Howard (0-15-2 / 0-3 SBC) and NJIT (4-7-4 / 1-2 SBC) was decided on a goal in the 15th minute on a second-chance score by the Highlanders' Mamadou Guirassy. NJIT would add a pair of goals in the second half (81', 82') in a span of 26 seconds.
Howard made a strong effort in the second half to rally, matching NJIT's shot totals (x-x) but were unable to cash in on their chances.
