WASHINGTON, DC --- Howard University has partnered with Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE), which owns and operates the NBA's Washington Wizards, the NHL's Washington Capitals, the WNBA's Washington Mystics and Verizon Center. The partnership includes in-arena promotions, internship opportunities for Howard's sports management program and group sales discounts for university staff and alumni.
"The partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment is a great opportunity to share our story and the value of a Howard degree," said President of Howard University Wayne A.I. Frederick. "We are grateful to our Athletics Department, the Bison Express alumni association and Monumental Sports & Entertainment for making this possible."
The partnership provides opportunities for in-arena promotions during the 2015 Washington Mystics and 2014-15 Washington Wizards regular seasons as well as internship opportunities with the Washington Mystics. Howard University alumni, faculty, students and staff will also have access to group sales discount offers for Capitals, Wizards and Mystics games and select events at Verizon Center.
