WASHINGTON, DC --- In the team's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) opener, Howard women's volleyball earned a 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-13) victory over Delaware State on Sunday afternoon in Burr Gymnasium.
The victory moved the Lady Bison back to .500 with an 8-8 overall record (1-0 MEAC) while the Lady Hornets remained winless at 0-11 (0-2 MEAC).

Khaila Donaldson registered her sixth double double of the season with 13 kills (game high) and 10 digs. Senior setter
Stephanie Shultis and sophomore middle blocker
Whitney Fields each had seven kills. Senior libero
Allyson Lods led all players with 13 digs and sophomore outside hitter
Dominique Cleggett blocked three total shots (3 BA).
Howard was very impressive in their first contest against league competition. The Lady Bison posted their second best attack percentage of the season (.396; 45-9-91), bested only by their .398 (46-11-88) performance against Loyola Maryland on September 9. Howard also allowed its fewest combined points (41) in a match this season, sided out at 74 percent for the game and trailed for only eight points all game (all early in set two).
HU will play its next MEAC contest on Friday, October 3 when the Lady Bison welcome Maryland Eastern Shore to The Burr. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
