HAMPTON, VA ---  A trio of Howard women's volleyball players posted double digit kills and two of them logged double doubles but it would not be enough to stop the Lady Bison from dropping a 3-1 decision to the reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) champion Hampton Lady Pirates on Sunday afternoon.

Senior middle blocker Assata Conway returned from injury to lead Howard (9-9, 2-1 MEAC) with 13 kills and eight blocks (seven assists) while outside hitters Katherine Broussard and Khaila Donaldson each had 10 kills and 10+ digs (Broussard a match-high 19; Donaldson 12).
