Biography

2021-22: Played in 26 games and made 19 starts … Named First Team All-MEAC and selected to the MEAC All-Tournament team … Also named to the All-MEAC Defensive Team … Earned MEAC Player of the Week honors on Nov. 23, Feb. 15 and Feb. 22 as well as MEAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition on Jan. 18 and Feb. 1 … Averaged 10.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, and 0.9 steals per game … Was third in the MEAC in rebounding and field goal percentage, seventh in blocked shots, ninth in free throw percentage, and 11th in scoring …  Scored in double figures 15 times … Notched six double-doubles (11 points, 13 rebounds vs. Memphis on Dec. 17, 15 points, 15 rebounds against Frostburg State on Jan. 15, 19 points, 12 rebounds against North Carolina Central on Jan. 29, 13 points, 12 rebounds against South Carolina State on Jan. 31, 14 points, 11 rebounds against Morgan State on Feb. 19 and 19 points and 11 rebounds against Coppin State on Feb. 21) … Led Howard in blocked shots (26) and rebounding … Had nine games with at least two blocked shots … Blocked a season-high three shots against Memphis on Dec. 17 and South Carolina State on Jan. 31 … She helped Howard win 21 games, the MEAC tournament championship, and earn its first NCAA Tournament victory in program history with a win over Incarnate Word … The MEAC tournament championship was Howard’s 11th in program history and first since 2001.

2020-21: Hutton's freshman campaign was one to remember, in the Bison shortened season due to Covid-19. Hutton became the fourth Bison in Howard's history to capture MEAC Rookie of the Year and the first since 2010. In addition to winning the league's top rookie honor, she was selected to the All-MEAC second team, the All-Rookie team and the All-Defensive team. The Texas native produced five double-doubles while also leading the MEAC in field goal percentage at 52-percent. She ranked among the conference leaders in rebounding (9.5 per game), blocks (1.4 per game) and scoring (also 12.0 ppg). Hutton was also named to the 2021 Black College Sports Network (BCSN) All-American First Team. Hutton was named to the 2021 U.S. Air Force Reserve MEAC Tournament, All-Tournament team.

Hutton took home six weekly honors during her rookie campaign, one player of the week honor and six rookie of the week honors. 

Grace on Hutton: "She's a super athletic undersized post. Nae' is a relentless worker. She is aggressive, gritty and a tremendous rebounder. I look forward to watching her flourish."

High School: Earned All-State All-Academic Scholar honors … received All-Academic honorable mention.
