In 2022, Kiana Carr joined the Howard University softball team after a successful career as a Bison. The Phoenix native brings vaulable leadership to the program.
During the 2022 campaign, Carr coached Analise De La Roca to All-MEAC Second Team honors. De La Roca would go on to be named 2022 MEAC Tournament Outstanding Performer.
In 2021, Carr was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Pitcher of the Year. She led the MEAC in strikeouts (123), batters struck out looking (33), wins (11) and tied for first in saves (2). She finished the season ranked second in appearances (22) and third in opposing teams batting average (.220), innings pitched (110.1) and games finished (10). She struck out a Howard record 12 batters on two different occasions.
Before joining Howard, Carr was a decorated student-athlete at Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC), the right-handed pitcher earned numerous accolades during the 2018 campaign, including ACCAC Female Athlete of the Year, ACCAC Pitcher of the Year and Junior College NFCA All-American.

After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, Carr joined the Bison family with numerous academic accolades, including All-Big Ten Academic and All-American Academic honors.
