Frank Trujillo

Frank Trujillo comes to Howard University with many years of softball coaching experience at the club and college level. As a student, Trujillo was a Division I wrestler at Fresno State, where he competed and qualified for the NCAA Championship. He was a graduate assistant and earned his Bachelor's in History. 

He has been involved with softball since childhood when his parents coached. He gained experience working with club ball then built up a steady clientele as a private pitching and hitting coach. He moved up to the college level, where he specialized as a pitching/hitting and infield coach along with other duties.

His coaching philosophy stresses fundamentals and being open minded to continual grow in the sport. He achieves this by keeping up with advances in the sport and continuing his education and training in softball. He is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), where he is a Master Coach with training from the NFCC/NFCA.
