Arguably, one of Coach Tyson's most successful players, Camille Navarro returned to The Mecca as a volunteer coach during the 2024 season. Before the 2025 campaign, Navarro was promoted to assistant coach.
In 2024, Howard led the MEAC in batting average (.334) and total hits (404). Navarro help the squad to a 32-win season with a 16-5 mark in MEAC play. After the regular season, the program saw eight Bison receive MEAC postseason honors: Mia Gonzales (All-MEAC Third Team); Merci Hart (All-MEAC Second Team); Kenna Higa (All-MEAC Second Team); Julia Holt (All-MEAC First Team); Maryn Jordan (All-MEAC First Team); Lealani Ricks (All-MEAC Second Team); Alyssa Vasquez (All-MEAC First Team) and Bianca Worthy (All-MEAC First Team). Additionally, Jordan and Cheyenne Castille were named to the NFCA All-Region Team.
During her time as a Bison, she won 2021 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Year while earning All-MEACÂ recognition and MEAC All-Tournament Team twice.
Following the 2022 campaign, she led the program to its second MEAC Championship in school history. The Bison competed in the NCAA Tournament's Tallahassee Regional where they played Florida State and Mississippi State.
In her final season, she led the conference in runs scored and stolen bases.
