Thomas Weaver

In August 2025, Thomas Weaver returned to The Mecca as an assistant coach for the Howard University men's basketball team.

During the 2024-25 campaign, Weaver was a graduate assistant for the University of Maryland men's basketball team where he guided the squad to a 27-9 mark (14-6 Big Ten). Maryland reached the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 round.

Before joining the Terps, Weaver was a four-year standout on the men's basketball team under head coach Kenneth Blakeney. The DMV native led HU to back-to-back MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Tournament titles and NCAA Tournament appearances (2023 & 2024). During the 2022-23 season, Howard went 22-13 (11-3 MEAC) and won the MEAC Regular Season Title for the first time in more than 30 years.

In 2024, Weaver graduated from Howard with a business management degree.

In high school, Weaver played at Riverdale Baptist where he made the 2019-20 Capital Beltway League All-Conference Team.
