In 2020, Josh Fike was named Howard University Senior Athletic Trainer with several years of experience at the NCAA Division I level.
Fike is no stranger to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). Before his arrival at Howard, he served over four years at Morgan State in multiple capacities. In April 2018, he was promoted to head football athletic trainer where he hired and supervised assistants and intern football athletic trainers. For two years (2016-18), Fike was an assistant football athletic trainer where provided, prevented, evaluated, treated and rehabited (mental and physical) athletic injuries and illnesses. He started with the Bears as an athletic training intern (2015-16).
He started his career at his alum mater, South Carolina, where he served as an athletic training student.
In May 2015, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at South Carolina. Four years later (May 2019), he received a pair of Master of Sciences in Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement and Rehabilitation Sciences at California University of Pennsylvania.
