In 2020, Lindsey Lamar joined the Howard University football team as wide receivers coach.

After the 2021 fall campaign, Lamar coached Antoine Murray to All-MEAC Team honors.

Before Howard, Lamar spent four seasons at his alma mater, South Florida (USF). During the fall of 2015, he served as a graduate assistant with the offense. In Jan. 2017, he moved to the role of special assistant to the head coach under Charlie Strong and promoted to a quality control position in Jan. 2019.

During his collegiate career with the Bulls, Lamar earned 2010 Big East Special Teams Player of the Year honors as a kick returner. He set a USF season record with 903 kick return yards that season, including two returns (a 100-yarder at Louisville and a 94-yarder vs. Syracuse) for touchdowns while averaging 26.6 yards per return.

Lamar is a 2012 USF graduate and four-year letterman for the Bulls.
