Howard University Athletics

In 2025, Elijah Cruz returned to the Howard University football team as an assistant wide receiver coach and quality control coach.

Cruz joined the staff after a four-year career at his alma mater, helping the Bison win a pair of MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) titles and berth to the 2023 Celebration Bowl.

Academically, he was named to the MEAC Football All-Academic Team and MEAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team.

Before college, Cruz played at Central High School in Philadelphia.
