In 2026, DJ Hill joined the Howard University football team as outside linebackers coach.
Before joining Howard, he served as the defensive coordinator for one season (2024) at his high school alma mater, Newton High School in Covington, Georgia.
In 2023, Hill served as the defensive coordinator at Stockbridge, winning the 4A Defensive Coordinator of the Year while reach the Class 4A state championship.
Collegiately, Hill played four seasons (2011-14) as a linebacker for the University of Virginia, playing in 46 career games.
In high school, he played linebacker at Newton High School in Covington where he was ranked as the No. 41 linebacker in nation by Rivals.com, No. 69 recruit in state by Rivals.com, No. 104 linebacker in nation by Scout.com, No. 81 linebacker in country by ESPN.com. He received a three-star position rating from Rivals.com, Scout.com and ESPN.com.Â
