In 2023, Arthur Ray joined the Howard University football team as offensive line coach.
In 2024, Ray mentored Darius Fox and Tim Artis Jr. to All-MEAC status. Additionally, he was selected to the AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute.
In 2023, he saw Anim Dankwah, Da'Metris Weatherspoon and Darius Fox receive All-MEAC honors en route to the program winning its second straight MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) championship. Additionally, Dankwah and Weatherspoon were named to the BOXTOROW HBCU All-American Team.
Before Howard, Ray worked as offensive quality control (Offensive Line) at Arkansas (July 2021).
Prior to Arkansas, for three years (2019-21), he was the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator for Northwood University (DII).
In 2018, Ray was the head coach at Curie High School (IL) and an assistant coach at De La Salle High School (IL) for one season (2017).
In 2015, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins.
For two seasons, he played at Fort Lewis College (2013-14) as an offensive lineman. From 2008-12, Ray played OL for the Michigan State Spartans where he earned his B.A. in Communications (2012).
