Biography

Philyaw is coming off an impressive junior campaign in which he rushed for 1,230 yards on 222 carries. He scored a team-best nine touchdowns and rushed for over 200 yards twice, including a school-record 281 yards on 36 carries and two touchdowns against Delaware State. The Los Angeles native has been making the rounds during the preseason, being named the MEAC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. He also earned spots on the All-MEAC First Team and STATS FCS All-America Third Team.
