OKLAHOMA CITY (August 19, 2026) – The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame (OSHOF) uncovered its fifth annual Aeneas Williams Award Preseason Watch List where Howard University graduate defensive back Kedrick Green (Winston-Salem, N.C.) made the list. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
 
A year ago, Green had a breakout season with 60 total tackles (44 solos), including 3.5 tackles for loss, two INTs and a blocked kick. Last month (July 29), the All-MEAC selection was named to the HBCU FCS National Player of the Year Award Preseason Watch List
 
The preseason watch list is selected by a screening committee and in partnership with the organization DraftHBCUPlayers and the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award. This list is not final and players who have outstanding seasons may be added to the semifinalists and finalists lists as the season progresses.
 
On Aug. 29, HU takes on Alabama A&M in the annual MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Atlanta, live on ABC.
