NORFOLK, Va. (March 9, 2026) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its women's basketball weekly accolades where Howard University swept all three awards. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
Redshirt junior
Zoe Stewart (Terre Haute, Ind.) was named MEAC Player of the Week while teammates senior forward
Nile Miller (Woodbury, N.J.) and freshman guard
Ariella Henigan (Chicago) claimed the league's Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
Stewart registered 19 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals in the road win at Norfolk State (March 5), securing the MEAC regular season crown and No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.
Miller recorded a double-double (13 points & 11 rebounds) while adding four steals the Spartans.
Henigan tallied 14 points, including a perfect 10-for-10 from the charity stripe, in Thursday's victory at Norfolk State.
Howard will face No. 8 South Carolina State in the MEAC Quarterfinals Wednesday (March 11) at noon.
