WASHINGTON (March 8, 2026) – Howard University women's golf team continues its spring season in Montgomery, Ala., for the ASU Spring Classic, hosted by the Alabama State Hornets. The two-day event takes place at the Arrowhead Country Club (par-72, 6,710 yards).

HISTORY
In 1974, the year-round course was built with a 123 slope and 71.5 rating.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
The field features eight programs across seven states. This year's participants include Howard, Alabama State, Bethune-Cookman, Chicago State, Evansville, Jackson State, Southern and Tennessee State.
A year ago, Evansville won the 2025 ASU Spring Classic.
HU will make its debut in this year's tournament.
LAST TIMEOUT
On March 2-3, Howard delivered a strong performance at the Lady Bison Intercollegiate, finishing second overall after three rounds Gainesville, Fla.
Junior
Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, Va.) led the way, placing fourth overall (224, +11). For her efforts, she was named NEC Women's Golfer of the Week (March 4).
Seniors
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) and
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) tied for fifth overall, firing 12-overall par (225). Both Bison joined Fieldings on the NEC Prime Performers list Wednesday (March 4).
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On March 22-24, HU goes to Raleigh, N.C., for the City of Oaks Collegiate, hosted by North Carolina State.
