Women’s Hoops Squares Off Against South Carolina State

Bison looking to stay unbeaten inside The Burr

WASHINGTON (February 6, 2026) – Howard University women's basketball team will be looking to extend its current win streak to five when it hosts South Carolina State (SCSU) Saturday (Feb. 7) in a MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) clash. Tipoff is schedule for 2 p.m., inside Burr Gymnasium (2,700).
 
On Jan. 3, the two teams met to kicked off the conference schedule in Orangeburg, S.C., and the Bison came away with a tough 68-64 win.

SC State (5-16, 2-4 MEAC) fell, 73-53, to Maryland Eastern Shore at home Wednesday (Feb. 4) for its third straight loss. Angie Justin Jean led SCSU with 13 points.
 
HOWARD
 
On Jan. 31, senior forward Nile Miller (Woodbury, N.J.) scored eight of her 10 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Bison to a 68-59 win over rival Norfolk State at Burr Gymnasium.

SC State is coached by Cedric W. Baker (Voorhees, '90), who is in his first season at the helm. Howard is led by Ty Grace (New Haven, '99), who is in her 11th season and the second winningest coach in school history.
