BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (February 5, 2026) – The NEC uncovered its women's golf preseason poll where Howard University was picked to win after receiving nine first-place votes. The announcement came Thursday afternoon.

Sam Puryear and the Bison are chasing their first NEC title in program history after back-to-back runner-up finishes (2024 & 2025).
This year's squad is led by All-NEC selections seniors
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) and
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) and reigning NEC Golfer of the Year junior
Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, Va.).
FDU was projected second after earning one first-place vote, followed by LIU with three first-place votes.
On Feb. 22-23, Howard returns to action for the Arcis HBCU Championship in Weston, Fla.
