ROCKVILLE, Md. (January 31, 2026) – Howard University men's tennis fell in its season opener against Georgetown, 6-1, at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md.
Third-year Bison
Michael Major Jr (Nassau, Bahamas) led the way, scoring the squad's lone point in singles competition. He knocked off Georgetown's Arthur O'Sullivan in a thrilling three-set match (1-6, 7-5, 6-3).
Newcomer
Kamran McIntosh Ross made his Bison debut, serving in the No. 2 slot. He dropped a hard-fought three set contest to the Hoyas' James O'Sullivan (6-3, 4-6, 2-6).
Howard dropped the other four singles matches in straight sets.
Major and Ross represented Bison Nation as the top doubles team but came up short against A. O'Sullivan and Burke Pablo (3-6).
Friday (Feb. 6), HU looks to bounce back at Villanova. First-serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
