THE SERIES

Norfolk State has won two-in-a-row, including last year's 81-69 victory in Norfolk, Va. (March 2, 2025). The two have split the last eight meetings, but the Spartans hold a commanding 31-8 advantage since the 2006 season.

LAST TIMEOUT

HOWARD

Saturday (Jan. 24), junior guard Cedric Taylor III (Atlanta) scored a career-high 29 points and graduate guard Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) had one of his best efforts in recent weeks with a double-double, but in the end, missed free throws and a crucial turnover proved to be the deciding factor as the Bison fell, 78-77, to Morgan State in a thrilling Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) showdown at Burr Gymnasium.

NORFOLK STATE

The Spartans (10-13, 4-3 MEAC) come into the game following a heartbreaking 79-78 home loss to Morgan State Monday (Jan. 26), snapping a four-game win streak. Senior forward Jaquel Morris led Norfolk State with 23 points on a sizzling 11-of-12 from the floor, along with six rebounds.
