MATCHUP PREVIEW

HOWARD (2-4-2, 0-0-1 NEC)

The Bison are coming off a gritty 1-1 draw in their NEC opener on the road at Central Connecticut State (CCSU). After conceding early, Gabriella Garcia-Terrell (Centreville, Va.) continued her scoring form, netting the equalizer in the 49th minute with her fourth goal of the season.

Howard controlled the second half, outshooting CCSU, 16-6, and dominating corners, 7-3, but could not break the deadlock.

Trinity Knox (Atlanta) was solid in goal with four saves, putting her within two stops of her 200th career save.

The Bison enter Thursday's match with momentum and will look to translate their recent second-half dominance into a full 90-minute performance.

WAGNER (2-1-5, 1-0-1 NEC)

Wagner picked up its first conference win of the season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Mercyhurst Sunday (Sept. 21). The Seahawks struck early and often with goals from Alana Goldsmith, Deirdre Meberg and Alana Arjona.

Wagner's attack was relentless, outshooting Mercyhurst, 18-2 and holding 60-percent possession. Kelly Gallagher was instrumental, registering six shots and an assist, while goalkeeper Shae McGinty secured her second clean sheet of the season.

The Seahawks are unbeaten in their last three matches and will look to keep building momentum on the road.

LAST TIMEOUT

Howard fought back from a goal down to earn a point at CCSU, thanks to Garcia-Terrell's second-half strike and a resilient defensive effort.

Wagner dominated against Mercyhurst, controlling both possession and tempo to post a clean sheet and earn three points in NEC play.
