WASHINGTON (September 17, 2025) – The Howard University women's volleyball team is set to play two nonconference matchups, beginning with High Point University (HPU) Thursday (Sept. 18) at 6 p.m., inside The Burr. Saturday (Sept. 20), the Bison play at 2 p.m., at UMBC in Baltimore.

HOWARD
 
HU (5-3) is looking to keep the momentum going after sweeping American University (AU) Sunday (Sep. 14).
 
Senior Leah Reeves (Allen, Texas) claimed MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Setter of the Week after tallying 87 total assists (9.36 avg per set), 10 digs, six service aces and two kills against AU and North Carolina A&T State (NCAT).
 
As of Sept. 15, Howard tops the nation in aces per set (2.77).
 
HIGH POINT
 
High Point (2-6) is looking to bounce back after losing a five-set thriller against East Tennessee State University (Sept. 13).
 
Freshman middle blocker Maya Bukovcan had 12 kills with a .600 hitting percentage during in the match.
 
UMBC
 
UMBC (1-7) is looking to make a comeback after falling short to Georgetown University (Sept. 14).
 
Junior outside hitter Jalynn Brown led UMBC with a double-double (15 kills & 10 digs) and four service aces against the Hoyas.
 
LAST TIMEOUT
 
On Friday (Sept. 12), the Bison fell in a hard-fought five-set battle against NCAT. Sunday (Sep. 14), Howard rebounded with a sweep versus American.
