MATCHUP PREVIEW
HOWARD
Howard (0-4-1) enters Saturday's matchup seeking its first win of the 2025 season and looking to bounce back from a road loss at Radford, 3-0 (Sept. 6).
In the contest,
Christian Rufael (Washington) led the team with two shots while five other players registered attempts.
In goal,
Ireal Wyze-Daly (Ontario, Canada) stepped up with seven saves in his first start of the season. Despite a solid effort, Howard struggled to contain a second-half surge from the Highlanders.
The match featured 17 fouls and six yellow cards, including five bookings after halftime.
The Bison will look to tighten their defense and generate more offensive opportunities as they return to Greene Stadium.
DELAWARE
Delaware (5-0-0) arrives in D.C., riding a perfect start to its season. The Blue Hens recently defeated Penn and received votes in the United Soccer Coaches national poll, 1-0.
Freshman Freddy Jeffreys scored the game-winning goal on a first-half free kick his first career tally.
Goalkeeper JoJo Elliott Jr., anchored the back line with five saves en route to his fourth shutout of the year.
The Blue Hens are one of just three programs in the nation with both men's and women's teams remaining undefeated.
LAST TIMEOUT
On Sept. 6, Howard fell to Radford, 3-0, in a tough road test. The Highlanders scored early and added two second-half goals to seal the result. Six Bison tallied shots in the defeat.
