WASHINGTON (September 11, 2025) – The Howard University women's volleyball team is set to play against North Carolina A&T State University (NCAT) Friday (Sept. 12) at 6 p.m., for Greek Night. Sunday (Sept. 14), the Bison play American University at 1 p.m. Both matches take place inside The Burr, live on ESPN+.

HOWARD
 
HU (4-2) is looking to keep the momentum going after going undefeated at the UNF Invitational (Sept. 5-7).
 
Graduate Aziah Buckner (Memphis, Tenn.) was named MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Player of the Week while senior Leah Reeves (Allen, Texas) took Setter of the Week. Redshirt sophomore Zenai Jethroe (Dallas) secured Defensive Player of the Week while freshman Alexys James (Houston) grabbed the conference's Rookie of the Week.
 
NORTH CAROLINA A&T
 
NCAT (2-2) is looking to bounce back after going winless against Clemson University (Sept. 4-5).
 
Sophomore outside hitter Tyne Ross (Cameron, N.C.) led North Carolina A&T in back-to-back battles against Clemson, recording a combined 36 kills over two matches while hitting above .300 in both contests.
 
AMERICAN
 
American (5-2) is looking to make a comeback after falling short to the University of Akron (Sept. 6).
 
Freshman outside hitter Sophie Dufour (Frankfort, Ky.) led American with 14 kills and seven digs in a five-set battle against Akron, marking the fifth time this season she has paced the Eagles in kills.
 
LAST TIMEOUT
 
At the UNF Invitational, the Bison took care of business against Harvard University, 3-0 (Sept. 5), Presbyterian College, 3-1 (Sept. 6), and host North Florida, 3-0 (Sept. 7).
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
 
Howard is set to play High Point University in The Burr Thursday (Sept. 18) at 6 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 20), the Bison travel to Baltimore to play UMBC at 2 p.m.
