WASHINGTON (August 23, 2025) – Howard University men's soccer team gears up for its 2025 home opener Sunday (August 24), welcoming San Diego State University (SDSU) to Greene Stadium in D.C. Kickoff is set for noon and the match will be live streamed on NEC Front Row.

Sunday marks the first-ever meeting between Howard and SDSU.
HOWARD
HU (0-1) returns home after a competitive season opener on the road against UNC Asheville.
Despite an early 2-0 deficit, the Bison battled back late.

SAN DIEGO STATE
The Aztecs enter the 2025 campaign looking to bounce back from a challenging 2024
season.
Opening night (Aug. 21), SDSU fell on the road at No. 17 Virginia, 2-0.
Howard's backline will be tested by SDSU's high-pressing offense and physical midfield.
LAST TIMEOUT
On Aug. 21, HU dropped a narrow 2-1 decision at UNC Asheville in its season opener. Kaban provided the late spark, but the early goals proved too much to overcome.
