WACO, Texas (December 9, 2024) – The AFACA (American Football Coaches Association) revealed its 2025 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership participants where Howard University offensive lineman coach
Arthur Ray was among the recipients selected. The announcement came Monday.
The prestigious program aimed at identifying and developing premier, future leaders in the football coaching profession.
Ray wrapped up his second season with the Bison, guiding linemen
Darius Fox (Washington) and
Tim Artis Jr. (Charlotte, N.C.) to All-Conference Honors. A year ago, the Chicago native helped HU win back-to-back MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Titles while making its first appearance at the Cricket Celebration Bowl.
Selected participants are invited to attend the one-day institute that features a curriculum of interactive lectures, focused on topics specifically tailored to emphasize leadership in the coaching profession, ethics, influential responsibilities, career progression and family balance.
This year's class was chosen from a field of over 200 high-quality applicants.
Members of the AFCA 2025 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute receive a stipend to assist with expenses incurred while attending the AFCA Convention.
Howard finished the 2024 campaign 4-8 (1-4 MEAC).
