Women’s Basketball Moves Up CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25

Bison leap 12 spots after another perfect week

BOSTON (November 19, 2025) – CollegeInsider.com (CI) uncovered its Women's Mid-Major Top 25 where the Howard University women's basketball team leaped 12 spots after securing another perfect 2-0 week. Currently, HU sits 12th in the poll. The announcement came Tuesday evening (Nov. 18).
 
Last week (Nov. 11), HU met George Washington in a crosstown matchup where they edged out the Revolutionaries to improve to 3-0 on the young season.
 
Howard notched its third road win of the season four days later (Nov. 15), topping Elon, 56-46.
 
Senior forward Zennia Thomas (Cleveland) was named MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Co-Player of the Week after leading the Bison to victories, averaging 13.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks.
 
South Dakota State (4-0) remains No. 1, receiving 31 first place votes. James Madison (3-1) jumps up to No. 2, followed by Green Bay (4-1), Fairfield (3-1), and Ball State (4-0) rounding out the top five.
 
The Women's Mid-Major Top 25® is released every Tuesday throughout the season.
 
The CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 is now in its 16th season of existence.
 
Howard travels to New Jersey to take on Monmouth Thursday (Nov. 20) at 7 p.m. Three days later (Nov. 23), the Bison return to Burr Gymnasium Sunday to take on William & Mary at 2 p.m.
