NORFOLK, Va. (November 17, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its women's basketball weekly awards where Howard University senior forward
Zennia Thomas (Cleveland) shared the league's Player of the Week honor. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
Thomas, who shared MEAC Player of the Week with Maryland Eastern Shore's (UMES) Ashanti Lynch, filled the stat sheet, averaging 13.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in the victories over George Washington (Nov. 11) and Elon (Nov. 15). In Saturday's road win, she notched her first double-double of the season (12 points & 10 boards) against Phoenix.
This season, Thomas ranks among the conference leaders in multiple categories, including rebounds per game (3
rd), total blocks (3
rd) and blocks per game (2
nd).

Nile Miller (Woodbury, N.J.) and freshman guard
Ariella Henigan (Chicago) received honorable mention after guiding the Bison another 2-0 week.
UMES' Kaliya Perry was named MEAC Rookie of the Week while North Carolina Central forward Morgan Callahan earned Defensive Player of the Week.
Howard continues its road trip when it travels to Richmond, Va., Monday (Nov. 17) to play the Rams of VCU. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
