MATCHUP PREVIEW
HOWARD (5-10-1, 3-4-0 NEC)
Howard is coming off its most complete performance of the season in a 4–1 home victory over Virginia State (Oct. 29).
Senior defender
Nigel McCloud (Fayetteville, Ga.) recorded his first career hat trick, scoring three goals on eight shots to lead the Bison attack.
Daniil Kaban (Kharkiv, Ukraine) also found the back of the net while
Justin Mims (Norwalk, Conn.),
Marshall Lloyd (Washington) and
Onarae Rice (Greenville, S.C.) all added assists in the win.
The Bison dominated every statistical category, outshooting Virginia State, 25–4, and earning 12 corner kicks.
Goalkeeper
Liam Keiller (Gaithersburg, Md.) recorded two saves and the backline held the Trojans to just one goal on a penalty kick.
With two wins in their last three home matches, Howard will look to carry that confidence into Sunday's conference showdown and honor their senior class with a strong showing.
STONEHILL (5-9-2, 3-2-2 NEC)
Stonehill enters Sunday's match after a key 2–0 shutout win over Saint Francis, handing the Red Flash their second NEC loss.
Graduate senior Nathan Lagoa led the Skyhawks with both goals, including the match-winner in the 23
rd minute.
Junior goalkeeper Kyle Tencza made his second straight start and earned his first win of the season with five saves.
Stonehill has struggled, offensively, throughout the year but showed improved form in
recent matches. Lagoa remains the team's main attacking threat while Tencza brings fresh stability in goal.
The Skyhawks are still in the mix for postseason contention and will be looking to play spoiler against Howard on the road.
LAST TIMEOUT
Howard secured a 4–1 win over Virginia State Wednesday night, powered by McCloud's hat trick and a dominant showing from the Bison attack.
