SUWANEE, Ga. (October 25, 2024) – Howard University men's golf team wrapped up the fall slate at the Bridgestone HBCU Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event took place at the Laurel Springs Golf Club (par-71) in Suwanee, Ga.
Overall, the Bison shot 40-over par (892) while earning fourth place in the team standings.
Sophomores
Mitchell Grey (Mississauga, Canada) and
Mathis Perroni (Metz, France) led the way, tying for eighth overall with 7-over par (220) performances.
Rookie
Cassius Blake (Birmingham, England) finished 22
nd in the tournament, recording 13-over par (226), while senior
Anthony Ford (Atlanta) rounded out the top 25, registering 15-over par (228).
Florida A&M won the 2024 Bridgestone HBCU Invite (869, +17), led by Sascha Robinson, who won the individual title by one stroke (215, +2) over teammate Taylor Bell and North Carolina A&T State's Ignacio Zapata.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff placed second (885, +33).
On Feb. 16-18, HU goes to Goodyear, Ariz., for the annual Loyola Intercollegiate, hosted by the Greyhounds.
