WASHINGTON (September 20, 2024) – Howard University men's soccer team will be hosting its first home game of the season at Greene Stadium, facing the UC San Diego Tritons. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 21).

Howard (0-4) seeks its first win of the season after a 2-1 loss against Virginia Military Institute Saturday (Sept. 14). The Bison wrapped up a four-match road swing in Lexington, Va.

UC SAN DIEGO
The Tritons have a wide variety of talent on their 2024 roster, consisting of international experience mixed with players from all over the USA.
Players like Kai Oppenheim notched a career game, finishing with two goals in his last outing. Adam Hillis dialed in for a goal and an assist to help the Tritons to their first win of the season. Max Carvalho, scored a header last match.
UC San Diego has only scored in the first half once before this season (3-2 loss to No. 20 Duke). Nolan Premack recorded his first clean sheet of the season.
Head coach Jon Pascale will be entering his 16
th season. The Tritons are projected to finish eighth in The Big West.
LAST TIMEOUT
Saturday (Sept. 14), the Bison lost, 2-1, loss at Virginia Military Institute.
HU outshot the Keydets, 16-14, and took more corners, 6-5.
