WASHINGTON (September 13, 2024) – The Howard University women's volleyball team is set to play against the University of Delaware (UD) and Marist College (MC) at the Blue Hen Invitational in Delaware. The two-day tourney (September 14-15) is hosted by the UD.
Saturday (September 14), the Lady Bison face MC at 2 p.m. Then, they take on the Blue Hens Sunday (September 15) at 2 p.m.

HOWARD
HU (4-3) looks to regain momentum after losing a deciding fifth set against American University Tuesday (September 10).
Junior outside hitter
Rya McKinnon (Hoover, Ala.) continues to lead the Bison in kills, totaling 23 in the previous match against American. Currently, she is ranked fourth nationally in total kills. Monday (September 9), the Alabama native was just awarded Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week for the second straight week.
Senior middle blocker
Cimone Woodard (Missouri City, Texas) was a pivotal player during the match against American, totaling 16 kills and five blocks.

Shaun Kupferberg is just two wins away from an incredible milestone of 400 career victories.
MARIST COLLEGE
Marist College (0-6) is looking for its first win of the season.
Freshman outside hitter Taylor Miller (Haworth, N.J.) leads the Red Foxes in kills, including 24 at the Kathy DeBoer Invitational.
DELAWARE
Delaware (2-3) is looking to bounce back, winning one-out-of-three during the Hawkeye Invite.
Graduate outside hitter Savannah Seemans (Newark, Del.) enters the tourney with the highest points per set (3.53) and digs per set (3.53) amongst her team.
LAST TIMEOUT
In their previous match, the Lady Bison fell short (2-3) against crosstown rival American.
McKinnon and senior outside hitter
Dami Awojobi (Hempstead, N.Y.) led the Lady Bison with double-doubles.
