Two-time All-NEC selection senior forward
Bryson Baker (Ellicott City, Md.) led the team in goals and points scored the past two seasons (2022 & 2023) and was second during his freshman campaign (2021).
Gyau enters his 10th season as head coach.
UMBC
On Aug. 22, UMBC opened the new season with a tie versus ACC opponent Maryland, 1-1. Joseph Picotto tied the contest with less than four minutes remaining.
UMBC (0-0-1) is projected to finish fourth in the American East, led by Preseason All-Conference selections Jago Lott and Lasse Kelp.
Anthony Adams, who took over for UMBC's long-time head coach Pete Caringi, Jr., enters his second season at the helm after going 7-4-5 (3-1-3 American East) a year ago.

Thursday (Aug. 22), the Bison fell in its season opener at Delaware (UD), 3-0.
Baker led the charge with four shots.
