WASHINGTON (June 13, 2024) - Hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, Greg Yette moved to The District to play football at Howard University in 1986. After playing four years, Yette accepted a commission in 1990 to become an infantry lieutenant because of his time in Army ROTC.
Leaving the Army, Yette began working as a financial analyst for the Department of Defense as a government contractor for several years at various companies.
In 2003, Yette founded a consulting company, Acquisition, Research & Logistics, Inc (ARL). Since then, ARL has provided engineering, financial, program management and scientific services for the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Navy, Department of Defense, Department of Labor, and Department of Energy. In 2011, the company was named one of "Inc 500's Fastest Growing Companies."
In addition to founding ARL, Yette has been an NFL referee since 2010 and is the father of two sons, Tray and Anjo.
