WASHINGTON (March 28, 2024) – Howard University football program hosted its first Pro Day under head coach
Larry Scott Wednesday afternoon with 11 draft-eligible Bison taking part in the event.
Throughout the day, the participants met and showcased their talents in front of several pro representatives from the National Football League (NFL), Canadian Football League and United Football League.
The draft-eligible Bison that participated included
Darrian Brokenburr (Manassas, Va.),
Brennan Brown (Dallas),
Anim Dankwah (Ontario, Canada),
Gerone Hamilton, Jr. (Apple Valley, Minn.),
Jevin Jackson (Lawrenceville, Ga.),
Matthew McDonald (Baltimore),
Bryce Miller (Woodbridge, Va.),
Antoine Murray (Miramar, Fla.),
Ian White (Charlotte, N.C.),
Ian Wheeler (Houston) and
Quinton Williams (Upper Marlboro, Md.).
The Pro Day began at 2 p.m., with bench press and vertical jumps in the weight room inside Burr Gymnasium. Next, the Bison went outside to Greene Stadium to measure their skills in the 40-yard dash, short shuttle and 3-cone shuttle.
Nearly a dozen pro scouts across the three leagues attended, along with a half dozen media outlets in the area.
The 2024 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25-27 in Detroit. Full coverage will air on NFL Network, ABC and ESPN.
Howard finished the 2023 campaign winning back-to-back Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) titles while earning its first-ever berth to the Cricket Celebration Bowl.
