URBANA, Md. (March 17, 2024) – Howard University men's golf team took 11
th overall at the annual Carpetbagger Classic, hosted by Binghamton University. The two-day event was held at the Worthington Manor Golf Club.
Overall, the Bison shot 57-over par (633).
Junior
Anthony Ford (Atlanta) led the way, shooting 6-over par (150). The Atlanta native shot 75 (+3) both rounds, tying for 15
th in the player leaderboard.
Newcomer
Kezaia Dimosi (London, England) finished two strokes behind Ford (152, +8), tying 22
nd overall, while fellow classmate
Mitchell Grey (Ontario, Canada) recorded 12-over par (156), earning 41
st place.
Mount St. Mary's and Rhode Island shared the 2024 Carpetbagger Classic title, each shooting 15-over par (591) in two rounds of play.
The Mount's Ben Smith and Wagner's Tyler Galantini shared the individual medal, registering 144 (E) in 36 holes.
On March 24-26, Howard goes to Napa, Calif., for the Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational.
