NORFOLK, Va. (December 23, 2024) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its men's basketball weekly honors where Howard University saw freshman standout
Blake Harper (Washington) win the league's Rookie of the Week accolade for the seventh time this season. The announcement came Monday.
Harper flirted with double-double in the contest versus Drexel (Dec. 17), finishing with 11 points and nine rebounds. The D.C. native also racked up five assists against the Dragons.
This season, Harper tops the MEAC in rebounds per game (6.9).
Fellow D.C. native senior guard
Marcus Dockery received honorable mention after producing 14 points, three boards, three assists and a pair of steals against Drexel.
Delaware State senior Robert Smith was named MEAC Player of the Week while Norfolk State guard Brian Moore Jr. earned Defensive Player of the Week.
Saturday (Dec. 28), Howard travels to Hampton, Va., to take on Hampton in the CBS HBCU Battle of the Real HU at 3 p.m.
