Destiny Howell (Queens, N.Y.) was the only scorer to reach double figures, but her game-high 11 points were just enough to help the Bison (3-1) squeeze past Mount St. Mary's, 39-35, in a low-scoring affair at Knotts Arena.
EAST CAROLINA
ECU (2-2) is coming off a 95-44 road loss at No. 1 South Carolina (Nov. 17). In that game, junior forward Amiya Joyner poured in a game-high 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. It was two points off her career high (27) and was the 28th double-double of her career.
SERIES RECORD
This is the eighth meeting between the teams, dating back to 1984. Howard won the last meeting, 67-51, back in 2019 but the Pirates hold a 5-2 advantage.
