WASHINGTON (November 14, 2024) – The Howard University women's volleyball team looks to stay unbeaten in league play with another Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) matchup. HU is set to play Norfolk State (NSU) Friday (Nov. 15) at 6 p.m., inside Burr Gymnasium.

MATCHUP PREVIEW
HOWARD
HU (20-5, 13-0 MEAC) is riding a 14-match win streak, dating back to Sept. 29. On Sunday (Nov. 10), Howard won the MEAC Regular Season Title after a five-set victory over rival Coppin State (CSU); thus, clinching the top spot in the MEAC Tournament (Nov. 22-24).
Third-year Bison
Leah Reeves (Allen, Texas) once again claimed MEAC Setter of the Week for the seventh consecutive week. She totaled 100 assists (12.5 per game), 19 digs and three service aces, three kills and three blocks during their previous matches against CSU and Morgan State (MSU) and CSU.
Senior outside hitter
Dami Awojobi (Hempstead, N.Y.) continues to be a pivotal player for the Bison. She totaled 11 kills at MSU (Nov. 8) and recorded a double-double (11 digs & 16 kills) at CSU.
NORFOLK STATE
NSU (13-13, 7-6 MEAC) is looking to maintain momentum after sweeping Morgan State Sunday (Nov. 10).
Gabrielle Gilbert led the Spartans in kills (14) and service aces (3).
LAST TIMEOUT
In their previous matches, the Bison took care of business with a sweep at Morgan State (Nov. 8) and a five-set win at Coppin State (Nov. 10).
Four Bison recorded double-doubles in the victory: Awojobi; Reeves;
Aziah Buckner (Memphis, Tenn.) and
Rya McKinnon (Hoover, Ala.).
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
