WASHINGTON (October 4, 2024) - Saturday, October 5 at 1 p.m., Howard University and Georgetown swimming and diving teams meet again for round three of the Battle At The Burr (BATB) inside Burr Gym Pool.

In less than 24 hours, the general admission and VIP tickets were sold out. Tickets to take a dive in "The Deep End" watch party via Jumbotron accompanied by a DJ are still available.

BATB is the biggest event of the year for the Bison.

The first meeting landed them on the cover of Sports Illustrated. This year, BATB III is on Swim Swam's 'Six NCAA Dual Meets To Watch Before The Midseason Invites' list.

BATB III is not just an electrifying sporting event, it is also a fundraiser to assist in the replacement of old equipment, financing of community education events and funding of scholarships.

In the third matchup, Howard will look to in the win column as Georgetown leads the series 2-0.

With strong performances expected from the women's backstroke and sprint groups and the men's fly, freestyle, sprint and dive groups, Howard Director of Swimming & Diving
Nicholas Askew said the meet will "come down to the wire."

Collen Jones. This year brings more special guests with Jones, Olympic swimming legends

HU opened the season with the annual Potomac Relays, hosted by American.

Howard won a pair of races on the men's side while the women's 500 Free Relay squad claimed gold.
